Why we love linen?
Linen is a sustainable fabric that promotes longevity. It becomes softer over time meaning you will have years of joyful use out of your garment.
Flax (the plant cultivated to make linen) requires no irrigation, it absorbs more carbon than it releases, and no part of the plant is wasted. According to the?European Confederation of Linen and Hemp, ?Across its lifecycle, a linen shirt uses 6.4 litres of water? compared to?2,700 litres for a cotton shirt.
Linen is naturally thermoregulating, meaning it feels cool in summer and warm in winter and it can absorb 20% of its own weight in water. It has high resistance to wear and tear and is fast drying. In summary, linen is a fabulously sustainable wardrobe staple!
